You're giving birth to a baby and all you can think about is if your runner is going to die... priceless. XD

Yeah - I can totally relate to that! I was the same when I first started playing, now, I have a real job and I'm not a student any more , I feel this enhances my experience of guild wars, since it means I don't 'over-play' it due to me only having a few hours free in the evenings. Sure, I wish I had more time, but I also know I wouldn't want to burn out...

Like 7 months ago, i used to play with this dude I N I Q U I T Y, most pvpers will remember him.

We were all on vent and he would have his mic activated always and you could hear him telling his children to shut up. He had like 5 children (from 7 to a newborn). Then he would tell us to do a fast run for some quick fame because he had to go put his kids to bed, make dinner, etc.

He eventually left GW to take better care of them...which is rly sad cuz he was an amazingly good player.

Well i think this goes agaisnt the topic because he left GW.....oh well

You're sad because someone left the game to take better care of their children? Maybe it's YOUR turn to learn some sense of priority. Personally, i'm proud of anyone who chooses their family over a game.

As for my friends:
Well they had to wait on their 2yr old to be picked up anyways so they had time to worry.
I know personally how hard it is to have family and be a gamer. My husband and I have 3 and one on the way. We are constantly having to stop in the middle of something to make sure the kids are good and settled before we get too involved. Last night for instance, our kids were supposed to be in bed and the next thing I knew I was trying to GvG with my daughter hanging from the back of my neck! So as soon as the match was over both my husband and I made everyone wait about 10mins so we could get them all settled AGAIN in bed. My family will always come first... I've had to go afk in the middle of missions, pvp, and everything else to handle everything from fights to bad dreams and smelly diapers. Parents also need their downtime from everyday life. If they choose to do it in a game and that's what works for them more power to them.

I think what the previous poster meant was that it's sad that he cannot get ANY freetime with the game. But I guess I can understand the issue with that many kids. It's hard to juggle both - I know that I will be playing a LOT less this fall cause I am going to start homeschooling my son. Life happens and it's a good thing, but everyone needs a way to escape from time to time. But I am also glad that the guy is putting more effort towards his family. Sometimes we just get too stressed to want anything to do with real life. If it wasn't the game it would be something else. It's just a fact of nature.

8 hours working
3 hours driving
7 hours sleeping (I try)
2 hours for random essintials like eating and pooping

that only leaves four hours for gam....er, spending with my gf.

I need to go back to college.
